Eleven-year-old Stepan, who has autism, does not speak and requires additional therapy. Support Stepan and his family!
Stepan Kosenko was born a healthy child, according to doctors. However, his parents later noticed a delay in his development. Stepan was only able to sit up unassisted for the first time at nine months, and by the age of four, he could not walk up the stairs alone. The boy did not start talking on time and still cannot speak.
When Stepan turned one, his parents took him to the doctor. Specialists confirmed a delay in his psycho-speech development. Since then, Stepan has been working with a psychologist and a speech therapist and taking nootropics. His condition improved after the sessions, and he began to respond to his name.
At three and a half years old, Stepan began attending kindergarten, where he learned new skills. By age five, he was diagnosed with disabilities and continued to work with rehabilitators at various centers in Ukraine. Since Stepan does not speak and cannot be understood, he shows self-harming behaviors and takes risperidone.
Regular rehabilitation has positively impacted Stepan's condition, as he has become calmer and understands spoken language better. He also makes efforts to communicate using gestures. Stepan requires ongoing care and consistent rehabilitation. Please support Stepan and his family, who are also caring for two orphaned nieces!
