Sisters Violeta and Maria have serious health issues and require rehabilitation. Please help the girls!
Violeta Hryhorieva found a new family in 2008 after spending her first five months in an orphanage. She had obvious health issues and developed delayed motor skills during her first year. When she was two, Violeta was finally diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since then, she has been under constant medical supervision and has received ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.
In 2022, Violeta's health declined significantly. In addition to cerebral palsy, spastic tetraplegia, and level 2 motor issues, her equinus foot deformity and compensated scoliosis worsened. Violeta must take painkillers constantly, as the pain in her back and legs can become unbearable. She is currently awaiting a consultation with an orthopaedic traumatologist.
Violeta actively participates in public activities: she paints by numbers, sings in a local choir, and is learning to do manicures. She dreams of eliminating the painful spasticity in her body, moving more confidently and without restriction, and finding her place in life. Meanwhile, her little sister Maria has serious health issues, including Down syndrome, and needs help and support.
Marichka spent her first month in an intensive care unit on a ventilator. She was born with reduced muscle tone and was very weak. An examination revealed a congenital heart defect, and Maria underwent complex heart surgery at seven months old. Maria receives special lactose-free and gluten-free nutrition, often falls ill, and has a very weak immune system.
Maria is a cheerful and kind girl who enjoys playing with balls and dolls, listening to music, and swimming in the pool. She aims to communicate with children and adults, but she has speech difficulties. Besides taking steps to stay healthy, doctors strongly advise Maria to undergo rehabilitation and attend sessions with a speech therapist and a dialectologist.
Violeta and Maria are being raised by a family facing severe financial hardship. The budget for the girls' treatment and rehabilitation is very limited, so their parents are reaching out to anyone who can assist. Please help Violeta and Maria access proper treatment, recovery services, and rehabilitation classes!
