Nine-year-old Illia, who has developmental disabilities, needs a course of corrective rehabilitation. Help the boy move forward!
Illia Kozlitin is a boy with developmental disabilities. Unfortunately, he sustained a birth injury – upper monoparesis of the left arm. One of Illia's limbs did not function at all. Immediately after his birth, his family focused on mitigating the consequences of the injury, putting considerable effort into his treatment and rehabilitation.
During the first year of his life, Illia spent a lot of time in the hospital. His daily routine consisted of drug therapy, injections, pills, exercise therapy, massages, and many other procedures. The first positive results appeared when Illia turned one: his arm gradually began to function.
At around the same time, Illia began taking his first steps. However, his mother noticed certain peculiarities in his behavior. He did not respond to his name, did not point, made monotonous movements, and showed no interest in communicating with other children. The family consulted many specialists, but it was not until 2021 that the child was diagnosed with moderate intellectual disability.
Illia worked hard with rehabilitation specialists and attended corrective and developmental classes. Illia attends school but finds it difficult to master material presented orally and gets tired quickly. He is an active, mobile child who loves construction toys, model steam locomotives, and retro cars.
Illia is not aggressive and can be empathetic. To give him the best chance of continuing to develop and socialize in later life, he needs regular, planned rehabilitation and remedial courses. Please support Illia and his family on their difficult journey!
