Marharyta Parubok was born with Down syndrome. In the first days of life, the child was in serious condition and was immediately transferred to the neonatal pathology department, where she received nutrition through a tube for a month. It was extremely difficult for the family to accept and understand Marharyta's diagnosis, but there was still hope that the girl's condition could improve.
After numerous examinations and tests, the doctors managed to formulate Marharyta's diagnoses. Thus, the child was found to have pronounced delays in statokinetic development, an organic disorder with delayed mental development, and subcompensated hydrocephalus. Marharyta is now 6 years old and, despite ongoing rehabilitation sessions with specialists, she has difficulties with communication and learning, self-care, orientation, and coordination.
