14-YEAR-OLD MAKSYM LIVES WITH AUTISM AND WANTS TO SOCIALIZE. HELP THE BOY ENTER REHABILITATION!
Maksym Zhydkov developed within the normal range, on a par with his peers, until he was 1.5 years old. Later, the family began to notice a delay in his speech development. The boy became increasingly restless and irritable, did not use pointing gestures, and exhibited unstable, unpredictable behavior, often hysterical.
Against the backdrop of endless medical examinations, consultations, prescriptions for medication therapy, and sessions with specialists, doctors tried to reassure Maksym's parents that it was worth continuing to wait. The results had to be waited for a long time: the first sentences resembling speech were heard from the child only by age 6.
At the same age, Maksym received a confirmed diagnosis: childhood autism with a decrease in intellectual and memory functions to the level of mild mental retardation, impaired speech development, hyperexcitability syndrome, and ADHD. These conditions lead to impaired adaptation and functioning and require external care.
Now the boy needs constant supervision because he has behavioral disorders. Maksym has difficulty acquiring new knowledge. At the same time, he has a good memory and imagination, is well oriented in new places, loves to draw, and enjoys riding public transportation. He needs constant rehabilitation because without it his condition worsens. Please support Maksym!
