9-YEAR-OLD MATVIY FROM A DISPLACED FAMILY HAS AUTISM AND SPEECH DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES. HELP HIM GET REHABILITATION!
Matviy Bebko was a long-awaited child. Until age 1.5, the boy developed normally, on a par with his peers. Later, the parents began to notice unusual behavior in their son and sought medical advice. The specialists’ assessment of Matviy’s developmental features proved disappointing – childhood autism.
The child underwent numerous medical examinations, received consultations from doctors, and worked with developmental specialists. Before the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, Matviy and his mother attended rehabilitation courses in Bakhmut. Later, due to hostilities, the family left their home in Kurakhove, Donetsk region.
Matviy's list of diagnoses also includes valgus deformity of the knee joints and bunions. However, the child's greatest difficulties stem from impaired social interaction. Matviy began speaking only at age 5 and still finds it difficult to communicate due to delayed psycho-speech development.
Matviy is currently in the first grade at a specialized school. The boy demonstrates musical abilities and tries his hand at playing the accordion. The child needs ongoing rehabilitation to improve cognitive functions, communication, and socialization. Please support Matviy - help him access rehabilitation and improve his condition!
