9-YEAR-OLD TYMUR WITH EPILEPSY AND AUTISM NEEDS EXPENSIVE NEUROLOGICAL TESTING. HELP HIM FIND TREATMENT!
Tymur Mukhametdinov is a smiling, inquisitive, cheerful boy. Like all children, he loves to play, watch cartoons, and swim. Timur is now 9 years old, but unfortunately, his growing up has been more difficult than for ordinary kids. When he was less than two years old, he had his first serious epileptic seizure during an illness. This episode changed the child's entire life.
Over time, Tymur's epileptic seizures began to occur more frequently, sometimes as often as 10-17 times a day. The boy and his mother spent the first few months of his illness in the hospital, where specialists tried to find treatment. But the seizures did not stop despite all the efforts. They would happen suddenly, causing Tymur to fall and fight frequently.
Tymur's family searched for the cause of the illness, consulting many doctors, but they could not find a definitive answer. The prescribed medications didn’t help and even worsened the child's condition. Salvation was later found in a combination of a ketogenic diet and drug therapy. Tymur went into remission for two years until the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine.
After remission failed, the fight for Tymur's health had to be restarted. Doctors are trying to find a new treatment, but this requires a thorough examination: it is necessary to conduct nighttime EEG monitoring so that, after its decoding, the doctors can see how effective the current steps are and what prescriptions may be effective in the future.
Tymur is an ordinary boy who dreams of playing with friends, laughing, and learning new things. He is very emotional and can be stubborn, but he is always responsive and kind. Tymur's family hopes that his condition will stabilize and that he, like all children his age, will go to school on September 1. Please support the boy and help him undergo the necessary, expensive diagnostics!
