4-YEAR-OLD SOFIA WITH DOWN SYNDROME WANTS TO DEVELOP AND NEEDS REHABILITATION. SUPPORT THE GIRL!
Sofia Drahaytseva is a kind, sincere, and very sociable child. The girl was born with Down syndrome and, at age 4, has a noticeable lag in physical and mental development compared to her peers. Her biggest challenges are speech and communication. It can be quite difficult for Sofia to express her desires, explain what she feels, and fully communicate with others.
Since her first year of life, Sofia has been consistently working on her development: physical therapy, massages, and classes with a speech therapist and a correctional teacher have become part of her everyday life. Every new word, movement, or skill takes a lot of effort. Regular classes are not just procedures for her but an opportunity to learn to better understand the world and gradually become more independent.
Sofia loves music, walking, and getting acquainted with people, and she is very drawn to communication. The girl's parents, above all, want people to see her not as a diagnosis but as a kind, cheerful, and special girl. They want her accepted and understood, not feared for her differences, and given the opportunity to be part of society. Help Sofia get to the next planned rehabilitation course!
