8-YEAR-OLD SASHKO WITH A BRAIN MALFORMATION, CP, AND A SPEECH DISORDER IS GRADUALLY ACQUIRING NEW SKILLS. HELP HIM CONTINUE HIS PROGRESS!
When Oleksandr was 7 months old, his parents first learned of their son's serious diagnosis: a congenital brain malformation, hypogenesis of the corpus callosum, accompanied by tetraparesis. The diagnosis came as a profound shock to the family. Yet his parents resolved to do everything in their power to fight for their child's health and well-being.
For over seven years, Oleksandr has regularly undergone rehabilitation at various medical centers across Ukraine. Each time, the results are pleasantly surprising, proving that their efforts are not in vain. Sashko is steadily developing and can now do things independently that once seemed almost out of reach.
Recently, he has reached several milestones. Sashko has learned to read, construct simple sentences, count, and solve math problems. He is becoming more independent and confident in his abilities. His physical condition is also improving: spasticity is decreasing, his muscles are relaxing, and his movements are becoming easier.
In recent years, Oleksandr’s family has endured great hardship, including losing their home and relocating multiple times. Sashko is gradually adapting to his new life, though he often fondly remembers his old home. His parents are committed to ensuring he continues to have opportunities to develop, learn, and grow.
This year, the boy entered second grade. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for the family to cover the cost of another rehabilitation course for the child on their own. Therefore, Oleksandr’s parents are appealing to everyone who cares to help him receive rehabilitation and continue his progress!

Diagnosis: Cerebral palsy, spastic quadriplegia (spastic tetraparesis). Gross motor function corresponds to GMFCS Level IV. Congenital malformation of the brain — hypoplasia of the corpus callosum. Receptive and expressive language disorder.
The project aims to raise UAH 30,000 to cover the cost of a rehabilitation course at the International Center for Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology.
