TWINS DMYTRO AND ANDRIY WITH AUTISM HAVE SPEECH AND BEHAVIORAL DISORDERS. CHILDREN NEED COMPREHENSIVE REHABILITATION!
Twin brothers Andriy and Dmytro Shevchuk are 7 years old. The boys were born by cesarean section at 37 weeks of pregnancy. From birth, the children were restless and had difficulty sleeping. Andriy and Dmytro began sitting independently at 7 months and took their first independent steps at about 1 year.
Unfortunately, both boys have general underdevelopment of speech, cognitive impairment, and behavioral disorders. Dmytro has been diagnosed with atypical autism, with disorders of social interaction and communication, as well as expressive and receptive language. He is registered with a neurologist and a psychiatrist.
The boy was raised in an inclusive kindergarten. The child's adaptation was average: he interacted with adults but did not show interest in joint activities with peers. Dmytro still does not take the initiative to play with his peers and does not understand the rules of group games.
Dmytro enjoys games that develop thinking through the use of numbers and geometric shapes. He has developed logical thinking and memory and can establish cause-and-effect relationships. However, a reduced attention span and hyperactivity hinder him in social settings. Dmytro's speech is still not fully conscious, and he is not able to maintain a dialogue.
His brother Andriy also has a disorder of psychological development, with behavioral symptoms including hyperactivity, attention deficit, and protest reactions. At age 3, he began speaking single words and still has difficulties with speech development. Andriy supports dialogue, has logical and abstract thinking, memory, and imagination, and likes to draw.
Dmytro and Andriy are now in dire need of complex medical rehabilitation and psychological and speech therapy. Effective treatment and therapy can give the boys every chance to move closer to becoming more confident and independent. Please help the twin brothers get into rehabilitation!
