6-YEAR-OLD EMILIA WITH MOTOR IMPAIRMENTS DREAMS OF LEARNING TO WALK INDEPENDENTLY. HELP HER CONTINUE HER DEVELOPMENT.
Emilia Hulchak is a cheerful, positive child who has unfortunately faced numerous challenges and health issues. At about six months old, the first signs of strabismus (squint) appeared.
Emilia cried inconsolably, deeply worrying her parents. The family consulted doctors, and their suspicions were eventually confirmed: she was diagnosed with microcephaly and spastic tetraparesis.
Since then, Emilia has regularly attended rehabilitation sessions, which, though gradual, have led to steady progress in her development. She has learned to sit independently and to walk with a walker and with support, and she can say a few words while adding new sounds to her vocabulary.
Emilia’s daily routine includes physical therapy, massages to reduce muscle hypertonia, and sessions with a speech therapist and a special education teacher. She is an incredibly active child who loves walking, swinging, and interacting with others.
As Emilia grows, it is crucial that she acquire and consolidate as many skills as possible. Please support Emilia and her family! Help Emilia attend her next treatment course at the correctional and rehabilitation center!
