5-YEAR-OLD DAVYD, WHO HAS A CONGENITAL BRAIN MALFORMATION, NEEDS INTENSIVE REHABILITATION. PLEASE HELP!
Davyd Ohannisian is 5 years old and has been diagnosed with Dandy-Walker syndrome — a congenital brain malformation that affects the cerebellum and the surrounding cerebrospinal fluid spaces. The boy does not speak and has only recently begun to understand spoken language to some extent.
Davyd’s family is doing everything possible to support his development. Each rehabilitation course yields positive results and produces noticeable cognitive improvements. Davyd also has low muscle tone, but regular sessions with a physical therapist are helping improve his gait and coordination.
Despite his serious diagnoses, Davyd is growing up as a happy, cherished child. He loves animals and water activities, and he is always eager to work with specialists. In addition to rehabilitation, Davyd meets with a speech therapist and a neuropsychologist three times a week. Please help this boy continue to develop!
