Viktoria Markidonova has faced serious health problems since a very early age. She stopped gaining weight at six months old, and a routine medical checkup unfortunately confirmed a severe diagnosis: cerebral palsy. Since then, Viktoria has been on a long, exhausting, and painstaking path of treatment, recovery, and gradual development, which continues to this day.
Periodic rehabilitation courses significantly improve Viktoria’s health. They alleviate her pain and joint hyper-spasticity, increase her stamina, and enable her to walk longer distances each time. However, each rehabilitation course has limited effectiveness without consistency; unfortunately, the pain and tension in her limbs inevitably return.
Viktoria is a very kind and gentle child. She loves animals — her family has many cats and dogs, and she tries to care for them all. She loves traveling most of all, and each rehabilitation trip is a special moment for her. She deeply longs to interact with other children, but unfortunately, such opportunities are rare.
