7-YEAR-OLD ARTEM WITH CEREBRAL PALSY AND MOTOR IMPAIRMENTS CAN’T WALK INDEPENDENTLY. HELP HIM GET THE REHABILITATION HE NEEDS!
Artem Kurochka was born after a complicated delivery and an emergency cesarean section. He spent the first two weeks of his life in the intensive care unit. Almost immediately after birth, the boy stopped breathing; he was placed on a ventilator and suffered severe asphyxia, sepsis, and a brain hemorrhage.
Some time after being discharged from the hospital and returning home, Artem’s parents noticed an unusual shape of the baby’s head, so they had to consult doctors again. A computer tomography scan revealed a congenital skull bone abnormality: sagittal craniosynostosis.
At five months old, Artem underwent complex skull surgery. Unfortunately, both birth-related and postoperative complications negatively affected his health. Artem did not meet developmental milestones on time: he did not sit, crawl, or walk independently, nor did he respond to his name or point.
At age 1, Artem was definitively diagnosed with cerebral palsy, marking the start of his treatment and rehabilitation. Sessions with specialists and physical therapy are yielding positive results. However, due to autism spectrum disorder, Artem still does not speak, cannot eat solid food, and often experiences uncontrollable outbursts.
Artem is now 7 years old. Unfortunately, he still cannot walk independently and requires support. He enjoys cartoons, swinging, and swimming in the lake. Regular rehabilitation offers hope that he will eventually be able to walk on his own. Please help Artem attend his next course of treatment at the rehabilitation center!

Project goal — to raise UAH 29,800 to cover the cost of a rehabilitation course at the “Tsentr Moia Planeta” Rehabilitation Center.
