KATERYNA ZHDANOVA RECEIVES A PLATE FOR SPINE SURGERY!

The recent donation, made by our permanent partners Concord Bank, became the final point in fundraising for the treatment of Kateryna Zhdanova, a 13-year-old ward of the Charity Exchange "DobroDiy"! You can learn more about Katya's story via the link: https://248.dp.ua/projects/1352.

Since birth, Kateryna has had difficult diagnoses: secondary microcephaly, spastic tetraparesis, focal epilepsy. All this time the girl had to undergo regular examinations by a neurologist and an epileptologist, and is also engaged in rehabilitation.

A few years ago, Katya was diagnosed with spinal curvature. Physical therapy and a corset could not overcome IV degree scoliosis. Because of this, the internal organs suffer: the girl has a stomach ache, a displaced kidney, and a deformed chest.

In this situation, doctors advise a surgery to install the "Novaspine" structure, which will allow the spine to be completely aligned. Thanks to this, Katya will be able to live without pain and suffering.

The cost of the structure is UAH 249,400. It is very expensive for the Zhdanov family. But thanks to the colossal support of relatives and friends of the family, deputies of the village council where the Zhdanov family live, partners of the Exchange and benefactors, we managed to raise the necessary sum of money! So now we are ready to purchase the “Novaspine” structure for Kateryna!
