OCTOBER, 12 — THE WORLD ARTHRITIS DAY

Today, rheumatological diseases occupy high positions in the rankings of the causes of morbidity and disability. Unfortunately, statistics show that this ailment only gets younger over time - not only the elderly are prone to it, but also many middle-aged and younger people, as well as children.

About every hundredth person suffers from arthritis. Pain, restriction of movement, chronic kidney failure, high disability - this is what arthritis brings with it. Joint diseases require long-term constant medical supervision and treatment. Patients are in dire need of rehabilitation and social adaptation.

The Charity Exchange "DobroDiy" does not remain aloof from such problems and has among its wards children and teenagers with rheumatological diagnoses and their complications. So, our young ward Anya Tkachenko suffers from a rare disease - juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

At the beginning of April, we purchased expensive maintenance medications for the girl, which Anya is still taking. Unfortunately, the girl's health has deteriorated somewhat recently. Anya was being treated at the hospital in Kyiv. There, the girl underwent a comprehensive examination, including blood tests and an MRI. Anya will soon undergo repeated examinations and consultations.

We really want Anya Tkachenko's serious illness to recede, and the child to start feeling much better. Meanwhile, we continue to support critically ill children with other complex diagnoses. Join the fundraising projects on our official website and help speed up the recovery of little Ukrainians!
