​HOW WE SCALE THE FLAGSHIP AREA OF OUR WORK IN 2023: UAH 5.5 MILLION TO HELP SEVERELY ILL CHILDREN

Last week, we summed up the results of the Charity Exchange “DobroDiy” in 2023. Today, we want to dwell in more detail on one of the key areas of activity since the foundation of the Exchange - helping children with difficult diagnoses.

Despite all the difficulties we constantly faced during the year (a decrease in the number of benefactors, a decrease in the average amount of contributions, and other insurmountable circumstances), we managed to upgrade our work and increase the amount of aid provided by 22% compared to last year. And this is UAH 1,000,000 more than in 2022!

Thus, in 2023, 205 young Ukrainians with various diagnoses received charitable assistance in the total amount of UAH 5,500,000! What did we manage to do during the year? So:

• We paid for 159 rehabilitation courses in the amount of UAH 3,100,000;
• Helped 9 children to get hearing aids worth UAH 1,100,000;
• Medicines and special food were provided to 24 wards in the amount of UAH 700,000;
• Purchased consumables for surgeries for 2 wards in the amount of UAH 400,000;
• Also, 11 children received other types of medical or rehabilitation assistance in the total amount of UAH 200,000.

Despite the fact that during the war, the "line" of charitable initiatives and areas of activity of the Exchange had to be significantly expanded, the support of seriously ill children, as always, remains at the top of the priority tasks. After all, we believe that the life and health of the youngest generation of Ukrainians is the greatest value worth fighting for despite all obstacles.
