Not just rehabilitation: a few words about helping young patients in need of medicines and medical equipment
Take a cursory look at our website and social networking pages. You might get the impression that the DobroDiy charity exchange mainly provides charitable assistance to pay for rehabilitation. And indeed, there are many such projects due to the huge demand for regular courses in rehabilitation centers.
At the same time, we do not forget the needs of children and young people with other serious diagnoses and consequences of diseases and injuries. The assistance is varied - from emergency surgery to the provision of consumables, medicines, special diets, etc. Below are some of the stories of how we help each other.
- 12-year-old Svyatoslav Pyskunov (https://248.dp.ua/projects/1667) has a severe form of type I insulin-dependent diabetes. Thanks to your support, he received Freestyle Libre 2 sensors to measure his blood glucose levels.
This sensor is attached to the child's hand and transmits the results of the glucose analysis to a smartphone via a special application. This device greatly facilitates disease control and improves Svyatoslav's quality of life.
- 11-year-old Melania Kuzmina (https://248.dp.ua/projects/1669) has struggled with severe complications of cerebral palsy and movement disorders since early childhood. She recently underwent surgery on both of her legs.
We are pleased to report that, thanks to the support of those who care, Melania has received the necessary supportive medication to help her continue her post-operative recovery.
Your support is crystallized goodness and real magic that changes the quality of these children's lives! Thank you for not being indifferent! Join our fundraising projects!
