October 2025: Major decisions, key investments, and important change

For Ukraine, October 2025 was a difficult period marked by numerous problems. The expected energy crisis, increased fighting at the front, corruption scandals, and ongoing infrastructure destruction by the enemy all affected the daily lives and work of citizens across the country.
For the Charity Exchange "DobroDiy," last month was a time when we successfully overcame the challenges and negative circumstances we faced. At the same time, our work translated into real actions every day: supporting hospitals, rehabilitation centers, families of our patients, and those on the front lines.
In October, aid was measured in numbers, but it was also felt through movement, breathing, stability, and security. We continue to operate in a mode where the speed of decision-making matters and where human concern is the driving force.
The total assistance provided in October 2025 was over UAH 1,150,000.
Thanks to the support of our donors, partners, and friends, we were able to:
- Paid for 26 rehabilitation courses at 16 centers, totaling UAH 630,000.
- Purchase orthopaedic rehabilitation equipment for a total of UAH 75,000:
- A 2-year-old girl named Sofia Rubanik (https://248.dp.ua/projects/1818) received a Vermeiren Pepi pediatric bath chair designed for bathing children with cerebral palsy. This specialized folding hammock seat is designed to assist with water procedures for children with motor disorders. It ensures the child's safety and comfort while lowering the physical effort required from parents.
- Twelve-year-old Yuriy Kolesnyk (https://248.dp.ua/projects/1763) received a Stabilo Vacuum Comfortable Plus Duo Cushion functional-corrective system for stabilizing and normalizing posture, as well as a Stabilo vacuum orthopedic headrest and adjustable stabilizing belts (OMO 129/Abduction-Adduction) Belts). This equipment functions as a personalized 'corset' solution, providing the correct posture for a child with severe cerebral palsy (CP), ensuring their safety and comfort, preventing the decline of their physical condition, and helping them participate in daily life as much as possible.
- A 2005 Mitsubishi Pajero Wagon SUV worth UAH 330,000 has been transferred to a unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The Super Select 4WD-II permanent all-wheel drive system, high ground clearance (220 mm), and independent suspension enable the vehicle to effortlessly navigate challenging terrain, including snow and mud, which is crucial in combat situations.
- Join the creation of a Space for Teens within the Mental Health Center of the Regional Medical Center for Family Health. The UAH 115,000 in building costs was funded.
This safe space offers teens immediate, comprehensive, and compassionate assistance. Here, specialists deliver medical, psychological, and therapeutic care and teach emotional resilience, self-regulation, and understanding skills to help them engage with adults.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the charity exchange 'DobroDiy' has provided assistance totaling UAH 135,686,000.
These funds were allocated to:
- The Ukrainian Defence Forces – UAH 93,679,000;
- Support for medical institutions: UAH 8,694,000;
- Children and adolescents with serious illnesses – UAH 19,369,000;
- Humanitarian and social initiatives – UAH 13,944,000.
In our daily work, it is often the indifference of those who believe in responsibility and the power of good that determines the outcome. We are grateful to everyone who helps make the impossible possible! Every donation helps us change someone’s life.
