December 2025: Silent steps that define forward movement

December usually sums up the year, concentrating light, expectations, and hope. However, for a country that has been at war for years, this month also brings accumulated fatigue, cold, uncertainty, and increased vulnerability among the population. During such periods, it is especially important that aid for those who cannot postpone treatment 'until better times' be not situational or one-time, but stable and consistent.

For the Charity Exchange "DobroDiy", December 2025 was a month of focused work with children for whom rehabilitation is vital. As the year drew to a close, we continued to translate our benefactors' trust into concrete actions and decisions.

The total estimated value of assistance provided in December was UAH 335,182.42.

During the month, charitable projects were implemented in several critical support areas:

1. Hearing is fundamental to development and safety.

We purchased modern Oticon Xceed Play 2 BTE SP 13 110 hearing aids, valued at UAH 81,320, for 12-year-old Varvara Sych (https://248.dp.ua/projects/1804). For Varvara, this is not just a technical upgrade but an opportunity to navigate space more easily, perceive speech more clearly, learn, interact with her environment, and feel safer in her everyday life.

2. Accurate diagnosis is key to proper treatment.

Eight-year-old Platon Kononenko (https://248.dp.ua/projects/1711) underwent repeated specialized examinations, including night video EEG monitoring, at a cost of UAH 15,600. This diagnostic procedure enables a detailed assessment of brain activity, evaluates the effectiveness of prescribed therapy, and adjusts treatment, thereby reducing risks to the child's health.

3. Rehabilitation contributes to future development every day.

In December, 10 rehabilitation courses costing a total of UAH 224,660 were paid for:

4. Support for medical institutions.

In December, we purchased medication worth UAH 13,602.42 for the Regional Medical Center for Family Health. This ensures timely patient assistance and treatment continuity. Every hryvnia of assistance makes a real difference in people's lives and supports doctors in their daily work.

Since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the Charity Exchange 'DobroDiy' has provided UAH 136,224,000 in charitable assistance.

These funds were distributed as follows:

- UAH 93,679,000 to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine

- UAH 8,707,000 for medical institutions

- UAH 19,894,000 to help seriously ill children and adolescents

- UAH 13,944,000 for humanitarian and social projects
