HELP 11-YEAR-OLD ARTEM WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENT TO HEAR THE WORLD!
The balance of unused funds in the amount of UAH 173 was redistributed to the Ovcharenko Milana project.
Artem Slyusar is 11 years old. He was born prematurely and this caused health problems already in adulthood. Among them, there is the hearing impairment.
Even in his early childhood, his parents noticed that Artem was hard of hearing, but the doctors assured him that the reason was the enlargement of the adenoids. At the age of 5, Artem's adenoids were removed, but the child's hearing did not improve.
The Slyusar family turned to the "Aurora" center in Zaporizhzhia. There, Artem was diagnosed with second-degree bilateral sensorineural deafness. The boy started wearing hearing aids. The child finally heard those sounds that he did not know before!
This year, Artem entered the 5th grade, but, unfortunately, his hearing aids have already failed. The devices have been repaired several times, but their service life has already expired.
Artem is a very diligent guy. He studies well at school, and is fond of reading and drawing. Currently, the boy is studying remotely, and it is very difficult for him without devices.
The Slyusar family were forced to leave their native Vugledar in the Donetsk region, where fierce fighting is currently taking place, to Novomoskovsk in the Dnipropetrovsk region. A family cannot buy powerful hearing aids on their own. So Artem's parents are asking for help from everyone who cares!
