5-YEAR-OLD SEMEN WITH CONGENITAL HEARING DEFECT NEEDS HEARING AIDS!
Semen Ivanytskyi was born prematurely, at the 28th week of pregnancy. His weight was only 1150 g! The parents immediately started fighting for the child's health, examination and rehabilitation. It seemed as if the worst was over.
At the age of 3, Semen fell ill with purulent bilateral otitis. After that, the parents noticed that the son had started to lose weight. The doctors assured the family that hearing would be restored after a serious illness. But when the parents got used to Semen talking very loudly, the doctor sent the boy for an audiogram. The examination revealed congenital deafness of the II degree.
Despite everything, Semen got used to the difficult diagnosis, adapted and enjoys his childhood. The boy loves to be read to. He likes to ride a bicycle and build a constructor. Semen strives for new knowledge and skills, but hearing impairment slows down his development.
Now the boy is preparing to enter the 1st grade. He was prescribed a hearing aid. After all, without powerful hearing aids, a child will not be able to properly prepare for school, correct speech and learn fully.
The family cannot purchase expensive hearing aids for their son. That's why Semen's parents appeal to everyone who cares.
