Platon Kononenko has struggled with epilepsy since childhood. Over almost 5 years of fighting the disease, the boy has endured many hardships. The seizures, which became more frequent over time, hit his brain nearly every day and caused him to fall behind in his development. There were times when doctors did not give him a chance. But now Platon has started talking and is in the first grade!
School is difficult for Platon, but his mother believes in and supports him. Platon is a sensitive, caring, and attentive boy who has discovered a love for growing plants at home, cooking, and even drawing. This young artist urgently needs help with an expensive EEG sleep monitoring test, which needs to be done twice this year.
Overnight video EEG monitoring every six months is essential for monitoring epilepsy, assessing the effectiveness of treatment, identifying subclinical seizures, and adjusting therapy to support the child's cognitive and language development.
