Nine-year-old Veronika, who has cerebral palsy and movement disorders, dreams of learning to sit up and walk. Help her family buy a verticalizer!
Veronika Galitska was born after a difficult childbirth at 35 weeks of pregnancy. Due to fetal asphyxia, a caesarean section was performed. Immediately after her birth, Veronika was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit in critical condition. She developed hemolytic disease and underwent a blood transfusion along with intensive therapy in the neonatal pathology department.
Unfortunately, due to asphyxia and elevated bilirubin levels, Veronika began to exhibit motor skill disorders. She still requires constant medication today. At 9 years old, she cannot sit or walk independently. However, her family is doing everything possible to ensure that she regularly attends rehabilitation courses and practices at home.
Rehabilitation is yielding positive results: Veronika's hyperkinesis has decreased, and her vision has improved. She is speaking better every day and, despite the difficulties, is confidently moving toward her goal of learning to walk independently. She is a positive child who is eager to learn. She reads and draws. Veronika loves the animated series "Ladybug and the Cat" and tries to dance to Olya Polyakova's songs while lying down.
Unfortunately, epilepsy has recently been added to her long list of diagnoses. She has been prescribed a special permanent nutrition plan, as well as the drug Valprocom. To ensure Veronika can continue developing at home, she now needs a high-quality orthopaedic verticaliser. The family cannot afford this expensive device.
