Twelve-year-old Varvara, who has a learning disability and hearing impairment, needs costly hearing aids. Support this child!
Varvara Sych has had a wide range of serious diagnoses since birth, including intellectual disability, spastic diplegia, localized symptomatic epilepsy, and astigmatism. In 2014, she was also diagnosed with bilateral cochleitis and mixed hearing loss when an otolaryngologist noticed she was reacting to sounds with a delay.
In 2015, Varvara’s family bought Oticon Sensei hearing aids for her at their own expense. She still wears them, but unfortunately, they no longer meet the requirements of her hearing condition. Doctors now classify Varvara’s hearing impairment as grade III hearing loss.
Despite her developmental and movement disorders, Varvara is a positive, active, and cheerful child with a modest social personality. She seeks to learn about the world through play, education, and therapy. She requires constant care, and the expense of medication and assistive devices poses a financial burden for her family. Help Varvara get hearing aids and continue her growth!
