11-YEAR-OLD DENIS WITH CP AND EPILEPSY NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!
Denis is the first and long-awaited son in the Stepanov family. The boy was born on time. But during childbirth, the umbilical cord became wrapped, which caused hypoxia. Denis was on a ventilator for the next two weeks. Denis's mother, Valentina, still remembers those terrible days of fighting with tears in her eyes.
For the first months, the neurologist assured the family that the child was developing normally. However, the boy's muscles were spastic. And within a year, doctors stunned the Stepanov family with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. From that moment on, the parents took every opportunity to help their son: hippotherapy, swimming pool, rehabilitation centers, acupuncture sessions, manual therapy. All this in the complex bore its fruits.
Denis learned to crawl, sit, walk with support, control his movements. He can hold a cup and drink, and take food with his hands. Denis does not speak, but his intelligence is preserved. The boy uses a tablet, likes to watch cartoons and listen to music. He is calm and positive and enjoys playing with other children and pets.
In order to develop and acquire new skills, Denis needs regular classes with specialists. The family cannot pay for each course, because the activities cost a lot. Let's help Denis start a rehabilitation course this December!
