10-YEAR-OLD IVAN WITH MICROCEPHALY NEEDS REHABILITATION IN MAY!
Ivan Korobka was born at the 38th week of pregnancy as a completely healthy baby. However, an hour after birth, the baby suddenly stopped breathing. Ivan was in intensive care for two weeks. From that moment, his struggle for life began, which continues to this day.
After discharge from the hospital, during the next six months of the boy's life, doctors did not notice any problems. But Ivan's mother drew attention to the fact that her son was developing with a delay. Therefore, she turned to the doctors of the Kyiv Okhmatdyt clinic. The doctors there stunned the family.
A whole list of complex diagnoses was discovered and confirmed for the boy. Among them were: organic damage to the central nervous system, microcephaly, spastic tetraparesis, symptomatic epilepsy, retardation of mental and language development, as well as partial atrophy of the optic nerve.
Since then, Ivan began intensive classes with rehabilitation specialists. Together with his mother, they visited specialists in Truskavets, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odessa. All this time, the boy also did not stop working hard at home.
Thanks to hard work, Ivan achieved success. He eats independently, partially understands spoken speech, and walks in a walker. Ivan loves to watch cartoons. If earlier he did not understand what it was about, now he began to better understand the plot and the language of the characters.
Ivan is a very cheerful and obedient boy. Now he needs to actively acquire new skills. And the family already does not have enough funds to pay for the scheduled rehabilitation course in May. Please help the boy get back on his feet!
