16-YEAR-OLD ANYA WITH A RARE DIAGNOSIS NEEDS SUPPORTIVE MEDICATION!
Anya Tkachenko has a rare disease - juvenile idiopathic arthritis. For the first time, the family learned about the terrible diagnosis when the girl was barely 10 years old. One morning the child woke up with pain in the knees, and the joints were very swollen. Due to severe pain, Anya could not even get out of bed.
From the district hospital, the girl was sent to the rheumatic cardiology department of Kyiv Hospital No. 6. Already there, Anya was diagnosed with a rare disease and prescribed the first treatment. The girl spent 5 weeks in the hospital. During this time, Anya lost a lot of weight and became wasted. Together with the discharge, she received a certificate of a child with a disability.
Later, in the Chernihiv Regional Children's Hospital, Anya was recommended to take the drug "Humira", thanks to which the girl's condition improved. Now the child is taking the drug "Simponi". In 2020, problems with internal organs were added to Anya's main diagnosis. She was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and kidney disease.
A month ago, Anya was in the hospital, continuing regular treatment. Doctors established that "Simponi" did not give the desired result, so they prescribed other drugs to the girl, and also transferred Anya to full enteral nutrition with a special mixture of "Nutrison powder".
Despite difficult diagnoses, Anya is very kind and calm. Due to her health, she often misses classes, but still studies perfectly. Her favorite subject is mathematics. Anya is active and likes to make friends. At school, together with her classmates and teachers, she weaves camouflage nets for the Armed Forces. The girl is fond of knitting, beadwork, serials, sudoku and other puzzles. She dreams of a healthy future!
Now the girl needs maintenance drugs, as well as an expensive formula for internal nutrition. It is very difficult for parents to provide their daughter with all the necessary medicines and treatment measures. Please support Tkachenko's family!
